FAQ'S

About Your Columbia Campaign:

Learn more about Your Columbia Campaign.

What is the Your Columbia Campaign?
Your Columbia is your opportunity to be a part of the unparalleled research, education, and clinical care that takes place every day at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. It’s a potent and impactful way to honor someone you love, remember someone you lost, or thank a medical professional for their compassion and care.

How do I get started?
To create your own fundraiser, simply choose the type of fundraiser you like (e.g., in honor of or in memory of). Then, decide if you would like to fundraise through email and social only, or if you would like to host a virtual event, or ask for donations in lieu of gifts for a birthday or anniversary. After you make your selections, click here to set up your fundraising page. Customize it with your personal story, set your fundraising goal, and then invite people to support your cause. You can easily share your page via e-mail, or social media.

Fundraising and Donations:

What happens if I do not hit my fundraising goal?
We know you will work hard to meet your fundraising goal. However, if you do not, Columbia will still be very grateful for whatever you raise. While we encourage you to do everything you can to reach your goal, you will not be penalized if you do not reach the goal you set.

What if someone wants to donate via checks?
Credit card donations via the secure Your Columbia website are preferred. However, checks may be sent to Paige Greer, CUIMC, Office of Development, 516 West 168th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, New York 10032. We will update your online fundraising page accordingly. If someone donates cash, it is advisable that you convert the cash to a check and send it to the address above.
