Understanding Pancreatic Cancer on a Molecular Level
Christine Chio, PhD,β―is an Assistant Professor of Genetics and Development at the Institute for Cancer Genetics, VP&S. She leads the Chio Laboratory, which investigates redox regulation in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA), focusing on how individual redox switches influence tumor cells and their microenvironment. The lab aims to identify targetable redox dependencies in PDA to develop therapeutic strategies that selectively eliminate cancer cells while sparing normal tissues.
